SEDATION DENTISTRY
Are you like the other countless people in this country who avoid going to the dentist?
If you haven’t been to the dentist in years, you’re not alone.
Many people avoid the dentist for one reason or another. Some stay away because they aren’t comfortable with dentist appointments, some are just too busy for multiple appointments, and some are just plain afraid.
We know how you feel. We see patients every day who used to find it hard to go to the dentist. We can help you with sedation and sleep dentistry.

Sedation Dentistry is Changing Everything
With sedation dentistry, you can relax in total comfort through your entire appointment. No more fear and anxiety, no more discomfort.
Sedation dentistry uses safe and effective medications to help you relax during your dental visit. There are a number of methods and medications to produce this effect, and a few different levels of sedation, so you can find the solution that’s perfect for you.
Sedation also helps us to get your work done in fewer visits – many times in just one!
With sedation being so common for many medical procedures, there’s no reason to have extensive dental work without that same level of comfort. It just makes sense.
Sedation Options
Dr Ruparelia has sedation options to keep just about anyone comfortable and relaxed through the entire appointment.
Oral Conscious Sedation
Some patients prefer conscious sedation, where you are sedated just enough to be unaware of the treatment, as if you were snoozing. When this is done with a few small pills, it is called oral conscious sedation. Oral sedation is a great option for many healthy adults.
IV Conscious Sedation
IV conscious sedation uses an IV line in your arm or hand to administer the sedative medications, but is otherwise very similar to oral sedation. Dr. Ruparelia has received advanced training that enables him to deliver IV sedation very safely and effectively. Some patients find that this method makes more sense for them.
General Anesthesia (Sleep Dentistry)
General Anesthesia, or sleep dentistry, is the deepest level of sedation. Many patients describe this as the ultimate in patient comfort. At Cascades, we perform “sleep dentistry” right in our office with the help of a board-certified anesthesiologist.
All you do is lie down on a comfortable chair under a warm blanket. While you sleep, our team of professionals can reverse years of dental problems. You’ll wake up with a new smile, and the whole appointment will probably feel like a dream.
Feel free to discuss your options with Dr. Ruparelia or any member of our team.
A Sedation Appointment
A sedation appointment feels calm and peaceful, and is probably unlike any other experience you’ve had at the dentist. After the appointment, most people have little or no memory of the visit – as if the entire experience was dream. You simply wake up with a brand new smile.
With any type of sedation dentistry, you will need a companion to drive you to and from the appointment and to stay with you for the rest of the day.
What is a conscious sedation appointment like?
Our doctors will either give you a small pill to take an hour before your appointment or use an IV attachment once you get to the office. We will then start monitoring your vital signs and assess whether you need any more medication.
Once you are relaxing comfortably in the dental chair, we’ll cover you with a warm blanket. We’ll begin our work once you are totally relaxed. Before you know it, the appointment will be over!
What is an IV and general anesthesia appointment like?
A sleep dentistry appointment gives you deep relaxation. You’ll be seated in a comfortable dental chair with a warm blanket on you. A certified anesthesiologist will join our team to ensure the highest level of safety and comfort for this deeper level of sedation.
You will be completely unaware of the dental treatment during a sleep dentistry appointment, as if you were home asleep in your own bed. When you wake, all the dentistry will be finished, and the whole experience will feel like a dream. When you look in the mirror to see your new smile, you’ll probably think it was the best dream you’ve ever had! Contact us today to make an appointment.
What happens after the appointment?
It’s likely that you’ll still feel a little sleepy. We’ll keep monitoring you until we know you are ready to leave the office, and your companion will drive you home. You’ll need to take it easy for the rest of the day, and for safety reasons, your companion will be instructed to keep you company.
You may want to rest, and you certainly won’t be driving or doing anything that requires your full concentration. Feel free to eat and drink all you want because this will probably make you feel better. The day after the appointment will just be a regular day. The only unusual thing is that you may remember little or nothing from your dental visit – you’ll just have a great new smile.

The Cascades Difference
Sometimes you can have it all. As a Cascades patient, you'll never need to compromise because our team makes you these promises:
One Doctor. One Office. One Price.
Most practices will have you meet with multiple doctors for surgery and prosthetics, meaning you have to travel to multiple offices for your treatment. At Cascades, Dr. Ruparelia handles every aspect of your treatment, from initial evaluation and surgery to placing your restorations to save you money throughout the process. Cascades has one office to handle every step of your treatment from start to finish. In addition, the fee you're quoted for up front covers everything from start to finish without any upcharges. This fee also includes the highest quality materials and anesthesia costs.
State of the Art Facility
Our practice is a clean, modern office with the latest in dental technology and equipment. Our implant facility is designed to handle every aspect of your care, from producing your new teeth with laser precision on site to providing the highest level of care at a modest price tag compared to other facilities.
Personable Team
Our dental professionals are friendly and helpful – but even more importantly, they are highly skilled and trained to offer you the best dental care available anywhere.
Experienced and Professionally Trained
Dr. Ruparelia has placed thousands of implants for patients. You can compare his skills and experience to anyone in the country and feel confident that you are in good hands. With modern dentistry advancing all the time, Dr. Ruparelia and the team at Cascades are constantly training and learning so that, year after year, they can offer their patients the latest and the best that dentistry has to offer.
Dental Implant Experience
You would be hard pressed to find another practice in the area that has the experience that we do with complex dentistry, dental implants, and sleep dentistry. Your friends and neighbors have been coming to us for years because we’ve earned a reputation for being the best.
Sedation Dentistry Experience
Some offices may offer limited sedation options like IV sedation or no sleep dentistry at all, meaning you will have more appointments that overall are less comfortable. At Cascades we supply full general anesthesia with a board-certified anesthesiologist to ensure maximum comfort throughout your appointment with us.
Reasonable Fees and No Surprises
$21,500 per arch. No Upcharges, Options or Additional Fees. Because we place so many implants at Cascades, we are able to pass savings on to our patients. Having a state-of-the-art lab right in our office lets us control and supervise the quality of all of our dental restorations and allows us to help keep fees down. By comparison, many other practices have prices that vary, typically starting at $25,000. Dr. Ruparelia has the skill and training to do handle entire treatment plans, from surgery to restoration. When fewer doctors and offices are needed, it means real savings for you. In addition, we quote you a fee before treatment begins that includes all of your costs, with no fine print or hidden charges.
Premium Materials are our Standard
Most practices offer premium materials at a higher cost or upcharge, with acrylic prosthetics as their standard with the option to upgrade to Zirconia. At Cascades, all of our prosthetics are made from Zirconia, the best material available for implants. It fits better, performs better and lasts longer. This is our standard. We don't offer lesser quality materials so you will never have to worry about an upcharge to get the best product available.
Never Go a Day Without Teeth
Some offices use a "4 implants per arch" system. At Cascades, we offer 5, 6 or sometimes more implants per arch to maximize stability and to provide greater long-term success with our implants. Additionally, some offices provide dentures to use temporarily, while at Cascades we will provide a beautiful temporary set of teeth that will keep you looking great until your final permanent set is ready. You will not have to go a day without teeth as we can handle full-mouth implants in one day.
Quality Guaranteed
While some offices do not offer a guarantee, you can rest assured knowing that we stand behind all of our work with a 5-Year Cascades Guarantee for quality and long-term reliability of your implants. In addition, we utilize an in-house lab so that all treatment and lab work is done in house, whereas other offices may use out-of-state or even out-of-country labs.
No Judgment or Criticism
If you’ve been suffering with dental problems, the last thing you need is for someone to make you feel even worse about it. We don’t judge, and we don’t criticize. The truth is that we’ve seen people whose teeth are as damaged as your’s before, and we’ve seen people who are even worse. We won’t be shocked, and we won’t make you feel bad. We’ll just help you get the treatment you need and the new smile you’ve always wanted.
