COSMETIC DENTISTRY

Cosmetic Dentistry - Art Of Creating A Beautiful Smile

If general dentistry is the science of keeping your teeth strong and healthy, then cosmetic dentistry is the art of creating a beautiful smile. That’s why the best cosmetic dentistry needs artists like Dr. Ruparelia.

Dr. Ruparelia has advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, making it possible for you to literally choose the smile you want. With their help, you can have the exact smile of your dreams.

Just imagine – you can actually choose the color, shape and size of your teeth. You can even “audition” the smile to see if you like it, and come back for adjustments if your test ride isn’t exactly perfect. That’s the beauty of modern Dentistry at Cascades!

Invisalign

Many people want a straighter smile, but can’t imagine living through months or years of wearing the metal and wires required for traditional braces. This is especially true of adult patients who don’t have the straight smile they want but can’t bear the thought of seeing that metal-mouth look in the mirror every day.

Modern dentistry offers a solution. The Cascades Center for Dental Health is proud to offer patients Invisalign. This technology uses a series of clear plastic aligners to gently reposition teeth over a period of months. These aligners are almost invisible to the naked eye, and better yet, they are removable. That means you can straighten your teeth without compromising your appearance, and you can even take the Invisalign retainers out while you eat to keep them clean.

Bonding and Tooth-Colored Fillings

Bonding and Tooth-Colored Fillings

Dental Bonding is a versatile tool our dentists can use to correct a number of cosmetic issues with your teeth. Bonding can even be used to replace damaged tooth structure in some cases. Our patients love it because it is a quick and very affordable way to conceal cracks, stains and other imperfections in teeth, or to fix gaps, chips and broken teeth.

The dentist uses a moldable plastic, called resin, and shapes it to the exact size and dimensions he needs to fill or cover the problem area. The resin, which is kind of like a clay or putty, will even be adjusted to match the exact color we need to look natural and blend in with the existing teeth. Once the bonding is in place, your dentist will aim a high intensity light directly on the repair to make the bonding material hard and very durable.

Bonding can solve a number of problems, including:

  • Closing a gap between two teeth
  • Covering cracks in teeth
  • Hiding yellowing and stains
  • Improving the color and whiteness of natural teeth
  • Lengthening teeth that appear too short
  • Restoring chipped, decayed, broken and/or worn teeth

Bonding helps us fix that nagging problem area in your smile affordably, and in just one visit! At your next visit, feel free to ask us if your cosmetic issue can be treated with some dental bonding.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers

Most of us aren’t born with perfect smiles, and normal wear and tear can take some of the dazzle out of even the best of smiles. Over the years, teeth can accumulate stains, chips and cracks that stop them from looking their best.

Porcelain veneers are a great solution for anyone who wants their youthful smile back – or who wants that perfect smile they never had!

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that actually replace the old surface of your teeth, leaving you with a smile that has no stains, chips, cracks or gaps. They really do give you that perfect smile because they’re designed to be your idea of perfect, right down to shape, size and color.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Everyone would love to have a nice healthy-looking white smile, but over time, the natural aging process can make teeth less bright and less white. Everyday life can also yellow and stain your teeth, especially things like drinking coffee, tea, or wine, and , of course, smoking. Over-the-counter products can certainly help, but a professional teeth-whitening from our team here at Cascades is the fastest and most effective whitening solution.

Remember - all whitening methods work best after a thorough dental cleaning. So the best time to white your teeth is after your next regular appointment for an exam and cleaning. If you live or work in Northern Virginia and you’d like to get the fastest, best and longest lasting whitening available, give us a call to learn more, or ask about it at your next visit.
