Our Insurance Philosophy and Management

Many of our patients have dental insurance, and we are happy to submit your insurance paperwork and receive all corresponding payments. If your contract with the insurer requires you to make co-payments, you will be required to do so at the time of service.

It is our pleasure to serve our patients, and to welcome your friends and neighbors when they also become part of our Cascades family. We are grateful that you have chosen us for your dental needs, and we will continue to provide the highest quality care to keep earning that trust. The team here at Cascades wants to make your visit as comfortable as possible, and to make sure that all your questions are answered.

Many of you are fortunate to have a dental insurance policy that helps supplement the cost of necessary dental treatment. Our team will do everything we can to help maximize the benefits your insurer provides. This can be difficult sometimes, as the policies, and the insurance industry itself, are constantly changing. In an effort to help patients get the most from their insurance, our office administrators are continually studying the different companies, plans and policies. It's still quite challenging to deal with sometimes drastic changes, and insurance companies that often seem intent on delaying treatment and payment!

Our goal at Cascades is to give our patients the highest quality dental treatment available, and deliver this treatment with fees that are an exceptional value. Unfortunately, some cost-driven insurance companies try to maximize profits by refusing to pay for anything but the cheapest alternatives, often at the expense of what is best for the patient. After careful examination with advanced equipment, we can diagnose a patient and determine the best treatment - so it's frustrating for us to have our expertise disregarded by an insurer, who hasn't even examined you, trying to save money with a cheaper, but less less effective treatment method! When this happens, our administrator often needs to write several letters and make multiple phone calls to get the company to reevaluate the case and pay for recommended treatment.

We understand that some dental offices just cave in to the insurers' long-distance, site-unseen recommendations, and just deliver the cheaper care that the insurer suggests is sufficient. We refuse to do that. We will never compromise the health of our patients by giving less than optimal care!

It is our policy to maximize insurance, and submit the insurance paperwork for you. Patients are always required to pay their insurer's co-payments or patient portion at the time of the appointment. Once the insurer submits payment to our office, it is also the patient's responsibility to pay us any difference or remaining balance.

Our office is committed to delivering the highest care. Please let us know if you have any questions about your treatment or anything else.
